USA Today released its 2020 All-USA high school football preseason team on Tuesday. A pair of the top Division I recruits in Greater Cincinnati landed among the nationally-ranked.
Roger Bacon’s Corey Kiner was among the second-team selections. The senior running back has been a human highlight reel throughout his high school career for the Spartans, churning out gargantuan performances on a weekly basis.
From USA Today:
In just three seasons, he’s already Roger Bacon’s leader in rushing (5,264), all-purpose yards (6,804), rushing touchdowns (81) and total touchdowns (88).
That’s just scratching the surface as Kiner, who last season helped lead Roger Bacon to its first playoff win since 2010 with over 2,000 rushing yards, also etched his name in the OHSAA record books with an eight-touchdown performance against CHCA. Kiner, tabbed as the No. 7 recruit in Ohio for the Class of 2021 by 247Sports, committed to the defending national-champion LSU Tigers in May.
In the final eight games of 2019, Kiner averaged 244.6 yards per game on the ground and scored at least three touchdowns in seven consecutive contests.
Lakota West offensive lineman Tegra Tshabola was right there with Kiner on the All-USA second team. Tshabola, the No. 5 recruit in Ohio for the Class of 2022, committed to Ohio State University in April.
The 6-foot-6, 300-pound tackle will be a force to be reckoned with inside the Greater Miami Conference this fall. He was a second-team all-district selection as a sophomore last season and the only sophomore to be named first-team GMC.
