56. Cannabis Baths + 5 Ways to Reset at Home with Weed — The High Guide

TRANSCRIPT

April Pride: This podcast discusses cannabis, and is intended for audiences 21 and over.

Sophie Saint Thomas, journalist & sex writer: If you have a nice bath tub, I just can’t recommend a CBD or a cannabis bath enough. You can get everything from menstrual cramps, to lower back pain, to, if you’re at a computer all day, neck pain and wrist pain, and just soak, and get comfortable.

April Pride: Welcome back to How to Do the Pot brought to you by The High Guide. I’m April Pride. You just heard from one of our favorite High Guides, journalist and sex expert, Sophie Saint Thomas. How are you resetting at home these days? If you haven’t tried a cannabis bath yet, you’re in for a treat. Today, we’ll share our tips for how to make the most of the bathing experience, whether you choose to add non intoxicating CBD or THC, which can get you high, really more like get your body high, to the tub.

Keep it coming April and team.” Thank you, Seattle Doctor.

April Pride: The first time I ever tried a cannabis bath bomb, it was like 80mg THC bath bomb from Kush Queen out of California. For reference, this is a very, very high dose, and what ensued was a reenactment of the scene from Wolf on Wall Street when Leonardo DiCaprio crawls on his stomach out of the country club. If you know what I mean, you know what I mean? And if you haven’t seen the movie I’ll link to the clip in the show notes. After lifting my heavy legs out of the tub with my own hands, and making it to my bed somehow, I lay there with a full body high, pulsing, tingling, electric sensations on the surface of my skin, and deep into my tissues. This isn’t a body high like what you may feel from an edible. Instead, it is cannabinoid receptors, and your soft tissue stimulating and firing. Your body is literally high. It is singing. Trust me. A few pieces of advice. No candles while you bath in cannabinoids. Definitely set an alarm should you find yourself too relaxed? And let us guide you to finding the dose that helps you find your bliss.

April Pride: High Five for the modern way to bathe. Number one, enjoying the bath can start with a vape pen. Discrete and nearly odorless, try Besito for the hexagonal shaped pen that won’t slide off your tub, or pick up your favorite from the 12 Essential Cannabis Strains for Women, and choose an oil cartridge from a licensed dispensary for your PAX Era. Number two, CBD for TLC. A CBD bath soak will relax you, ease sore muscles, and promote feelings of wellbeing, but it won’t get you high. Try a CBD soak from Daughter of the Land or Lord Jones.

April Pride: Number three, do you want to feel high? The skin is our largest organ, so if you choose a THC bath soak, pay attention to how many milligrams of THC you add to the tub, and prepare to feel relaxed, but also high. We recommend starting with a product that has a mix of CBD and THC, like a one-to-one ratio. Cannabis infused Epsom salts provide magnesium and THC, and allow you to add as much or as little as you want to your bath while you figure out your perfect dose. Infused bath bombs are single-use. All the ingredients dissolve in one bath, which may be strong for new consumers. Trying infused salts from OM Edibles or a Kush Queen 25mg 1:1 CBD THC bath bomb. Number four, while you’re relaxing in the tub, try a CBD face mask from Gron, or a nourishing CBD hair oil potion from Frigg. Number five, keep the after bath glow going with a CBD body butter from BSBE, or try their High CBD Pain Relief Rubs for chronically painful spots.

April Pride: Today’s strains, body heavy strains. Alien OG, heavy Indica body effects, trippy cerebral buzz, but be aware beginners, this is the perfect strain to choose your adventure. Runtz, head high, melt into a mild body high, and it also tastes and smells like Runtz candy. It really does. It’s super effective for stress and anxiety. Master Kush, full body, not mind numbing, helps relax from stress, and you’ll feel the intense effects. They’ll hit you immediately.
